Hi everybody!
I'm currently working with software development in Fortran for Windows and Linux systems, and following the news that Windows 8 applications will be compatible with the ARM architecture, I suspect that knowledge about developing for ARM will be very, very useful to me in the future. However, diving head-first into a random article in the gigantic Infocenter or the Knowledge Base seems a bit... Frightening. Are there any fellow developers out there who could point me in a good direction to start? I really have no knowledge about the architecture, or to what extent we'll be able to port our current code to it. Any kind of advice to get me started would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Bjerkborn,
I could recommend you having a look a the Cortex-A Series Programmers' Guide.
It has been very popular since it's been published a couple of months ago and a new revision has recently been issued.
Kindly, Alban

A starter kit should be a good start for learning ARM.
Check http://www.arm9board.net, there are some nice kits for beginners, provided with kick-start documentations and example code.
